Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct vital sign assessments and document findings accurately.
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining relevant medical history and information.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate patient care in various settings, including clinics and trauma centers.
• Support the clinical team in managing patient flow during busy periods.

Experience

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, or clinic settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and protocols is preferred.
• Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
