The FNB Community Bank is the only locally owned community bank in Bond, Fayette, and Marion Counties. Established in 1865, we currently have 7 locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. We have a HR & Marketing Coordinator position available in Vandalia.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The HR & Marketing Coordinator plays a dual role in supporting our people operations and brand presence. This position will assist with human resources processes—such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and recordkeeping—while also helping to execute marketing initiatives that promote our company’s culture, services, and employer brand. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing people-focused work with creative projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Human Resources (50%)

  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment: posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for employees.
  • Maintain HR records, employee files, and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support employee engagement programs, wellness activities, and internal communications.
  • Assist with policy updates and compliance documentation.

Marketing (50%)

  • Help plan, create, and schedule social media posts, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain and update the company website with fresh, engaging content.
  • Assist in developing branded materials, presentations, and internal communication assets.
  • Support employer branding efforts to attract and retain top talent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, marketing, or a related role (internship experience considered).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in content creation and analytics tracking.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to think creatively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems and/or marketing tools would be a plus (e.g., ADP, Canva, Mailchimp, social media platforms, etc.).
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary commensurate with the level of experience and abilities.
