The Technical Sales Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs for direct and indirect customers within the commercial business. The role focuses on enhancing product knowledge and technical proficiency to support sales success.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and execute technical sales training programs aligned with business goals, product roadmap, and key objectives.
- Design training plans for onboarding, technical upskilling, and certification, incorporating customer scenarios, competitive positioning, and industry-specific content.
- Delivers engaging training sessions for groups of varying sizes, from small teams to large audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Assess market trends and customer requirements to evolve the technical enablement roadmap.
- Localize training programs for regional distributors and OEM partners to ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align training with value propositions and campaigns.
- Integrate training into CRM workflows for contextual and trackable learning.
- Assesses market trends, customer requirements, and product complexity to evolve the technical enablement roadmap.
- Conducts analysis through data driven KPI’s and performance data to drive training content.
What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or applicable field.
- Required: 2+ years of experience in technical sales, sales enablement, or technical training in a commercial environment.
- Application and plumbing knowledge a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel required.
