This contract position places you at the heart of student support, offering variety and growth with assignments ranging from Pre-K to high school, and opportunities for specialized roles such as Bus Aide or working with students with specific health or behavioral needs. Be prepared for hands-on involvement and flexibility, as paraprofessionals are placed where they are most needed within the school.

Key qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or higher, OR 48+ college units and a High School Diploma, OR passing of CBEST/instructional aide exam and High School Diploma.
  • Capability and willingness to assist in all assigned tasks, including toileting, feeding, G-tube feeding, and similar duties.
  • Additional certifications and specialized experience welcomed (e.g., CPR, First Aid, sign language, Braille, vocational nursing license, or experience with behavioral/social-emotional needs).
  • A proven track record as a paraprofessional, ideally with 6+ months of school-based experience in the past two years.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, as needed.
  • Team player ethos and flexibility; candidates must be open to adapting to evolving campus needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing training; district offers regular exam and certification opportunities.
  • Pay starts at $34.25 per hour, ensuring compensation matches your dedication.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support students’ instructional, physical, or behavioral needs as directed by school staff.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Complete hygiene, feeding, and other activities of daily living as required.
  • Communicate effectively with educators, families, and students.
  • Participate in all required professional development and health/safety training.
