Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist to serve a K-12 school district in Saint Charles, MO. This contract position spans the school year and involves supporting students across a wide age range, from Pre-K through 12th grade. The role requires expertise in both healthcare and school-based physical therapy with the flexibility to work two days per week. Specific workdays can be tailored to the therapists availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct physical therapy services to approximately 30 students across the district, with varying frequenciesweekly or monthly sessions.
- Consulting on additional students as needed on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Supervising the districts Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), who will be on maternity leave at the start of the school year; this will initially increase the workload before stabilizing.
- Collaborating with education and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support student growth and participation in the school environment.
- Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials applicable for school and healthcare settings.
- Experience working with a diverse pediatric population ranging from early childhood to high school.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills, particularly in managing PTA staff.
- Ability to adapt schedules and caseload management flexibly within a school calendar.
