Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
Duration: 7+ Weeks (Contract, with possibility of extension)

Shift:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Work Setting: Onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role requires a hands-on professional who can provide high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations. Strong collaboration with clinical and administrative staff is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience
  • Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
  • Record vital signs and update patient medical information
  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
  • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Support both front-office and back-office operations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required/preferred based on facility standards)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
  • Hands-on experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Occupational Health settings
  • Prior experience in both front-office and back-office clinical operations

Must-Have Skills

  • Front and back-office clinical experience
  • Phlebotomy and blood draw expertise
  • EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Patient scheduling and intake
  • Patient rooming and vital signs measurement
