Job Title: Grinder Operator

Job Description

As a Grinder Operator, you will operate grinding and related processing equipment to grind, blend, and prepare raw beef or pork products according to approved recipes, formulations, quality standards, and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up grinding equipment and complete required pre-operational sanitation and safety checks.
• Gather, scale, and verify raw materials according to approved recipes and formulations.
• Operate grinding, blending, stuffing, and related equipment to meet production specifications.
• Follow recipes precisely, including ingredient ratios, batch requirements, and grind size.
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure product consistency, weights, and specifications.
• Complete required production, raw material, and quality documentation accurately.
• Move finished products promptly to the blast freezer or next processing stage.
• Break down, clean, and reassemble equipment per sanitation and food safety procedures.
• Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• General labor and production experience.
• Proficiency in packaging, grinding, blending, and quality checks.
• Comfortable handling raw beef and pork.
• Reliability and attendance with stable work history.
• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions in English.

• Attention to detail and safety-mindedness.
• Coachability and ability to work well in a tight-knit group.
• Ability to identify potential quality or safety issues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
