Position Summary
The External Inventory Analyst plays a vital role in managing accurate and efficient external inventory operations. This position supports seamless shipment flow to downstream refiners and helps oversee global inventory levels. Key responsibilities include analyzing data, forecasting demand, optimizing material types and levels, and collaborating with operations and logistics teams to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze Inventory Data: Track inventory levels, turnaround times, and overall downstream refiner performance to identify opportunities for outbound process improvement.
- Coordinate Outbound Shipments: Partner with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and efficient shipment preparation and delivery.
- Reporting and Communication: Develop and distribute detailed inventory reports and dashboards, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with procurement, operations, and customer service to align external inventory strategies with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in shipping and inventory processes; propose and implement solutions to improve workflow and reduce costs.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to internal policies and applicable regulations related to inventory management and outbound logistics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as an Inventory Analyst or in a similar role focused on outbound logistics and inventory management.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and identify trends and variances deploying company’s ERP system and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Organization: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Critical Thinking: Proactive in identifying and solving inventory-related challenges with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accurate in handling data and maintaining inventory records.
- Teamwork: Able to collaborate effectively across departments and build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
