Job DescriptionClinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Clinical Psychologist to join our organization, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records through a secure online portal and perform thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
  • Examine and interpret electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
  • Carefully document findings from assessments and complete necessary VA forms.

Note: This position does not include treatment or medication prescriptions. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the psychologist.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Available as Part-Time or Full-Time (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
  • Location: This is an in-person position.
  • Caseload: Average of 4 Veterans assessed per day.
  • Equipment Provided: All necessary documentation tools and a computer.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using electronic documentation and web-based systems.
  • A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.

Requirements:

  • Possesses a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program.
  • Holds an active and unrestricted license in Psychology.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
