Job description:
The Engineer (Design & Quotation) will primarily focus on preparing quotations and creating accurate technical drawings to support both production and sales activities. This position involves using CAD software to generate design data, drawings, and pricing details while coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure smooth factory operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Quotation Work

  • Prepare product and layout drawings for quotation purposes.
  • Finalize pricing using the company’s quote tool and database.
  • Create finalized sign-off drawings, including plumbing and electrical specifications.

Engineering and Production Support

  • Create or modify production cutting tickets, CNC programs, and drawings.
  • Release job jackets (including traveler and picklist) to the shop floor.
  • Provide technical support and respond to modification requests from production staff.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional engineering or administrative tasks, as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent technical training in Engineering or a related field.
  • Practical experience using SolidWorks, or the ability to use it in a professional setting.
  • Ability to create and read mechanical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an engineering or CAD/CAM-related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical design experience at a cabinet or woodworking manufacturer.
  • Experience using Cabinet Vision (modular cabinet design software).

Work Location: In-person, on-site, St. Louis, MO

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000/year

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday – Friday
