Job DescriptionDescription:

Axis Spine and Orthopedics is searching for an experienced full-time IL Licensed physical therapist to join our team at our growing private practice. We are a privately owned orthopedic physical therapy office looking to expand further in the near future. We see a variety of orthopedic patients with an emphasis on spine. We work with a wide variety of insurances, work comp and personal injury and have started a vestibular program and would like to perform FCEs as well.


Our office strives to provide quality care, not quantity. Our appointments are mostly scheduled for45 minutes, one-on-one. We make time to perform manual therapy rather than running patients through exercises with minimal supervision.


An ideal candidate is someone who has some experience under their belt and is interested in moving into a Director position in the near future. We welcome new ideas and appreciate independent thinkers. We are a fun group and are excited to welcome a new, enthusiastic member to our team!

Primary Qualifications:

  • Physical Therapy degree from an accredited school with an active Illinois license
  • CPR certified (recommended)
  • Manual therapy skills is a plus

Office Hours: 8-5:30 Monday-Friday


Duties
- Evaluate patients' medical history and perform physical examinations to determine the best course of treatment
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for home exercises and self-care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

-Help manage a growing practice. Possibly assist with opening of a new location.

Requirements:

- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Prior experience in outpatient, acute care, or hospital settings is a plus
