Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs
- Maintain open communication with students, teachers, and team members
- Record student performance and behavior in a timely manner
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Support the teacher in preparing instructional materials and managing classroom activities
- Monitor and report significant changes in student behavior or academic performance
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- High school Diploma
- Additional coursework in education is a plus
- Some states require a paraeducator credential or educational assistance license
- Ability to work effectively in a School setting
- Strong communication, time management, and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in a School setting
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and patient-centered care
