Stellar Staffing, LLC is currently accepting applications for Housekeeping Housemen
The housekeeping houseman can be a physically demanding and requires a quick, energetic pace:
- Heavy Lifting & Transport: Transporting heavy supplies, such as moving linens, mattresses, and furniture between floors and storage closets.
- Public Area Cleaning: Sweeping, vacuuming, and polishing common areas like lobbies, hallways, elevators, fitness centers, and public restrooms.
- Supply Restocking: Delivering housekeeping carts, restoking linen closets on guest floors, and hauling trash or recyclables to disposal areas.
- Guest Services: Fulfilling guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or rollaway beds, and occasionally helping housekeepers strip linens from departed rooms.
- Minor Maintenance: Performing light repairs or reporting larger maintenance, safety hazards, and plumbing issues to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: The ability to regularly stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift or move up to 50 to 100 pounds.
- Availability: Must often be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience: Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, a detail-oriented mindset, and excellent customer service skills for interacting politely with guests.
Shift is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-5:30pm
Pay is $15.00/hr
The Banquet Housemen Key Responsibilities
- Event Set-Up & Breakdown: Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and audio-visual equipment based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and specific floor diagrams. Clear and safely store all equipment after events.
- Space Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in ballrooms, meeting spaces, and storage closets. Vacuum carpets, wipe down surfaces, and ensure no debris is left behind.
- Room Amenities: Restock meeting necessities like water pitchers, glasses, writing pads, pens, and mints.
- Linen Management: Transport, organize, and fold table linens, skirting, and napkins to ensure they are spotless and wrinkle-free prior to events.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Work closely with Banquet Servers and Event Managers to swiftly accommodate last-minute client requests or schedule adjustments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: The role is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects (often between 50 to 75 pounds) for long periods.
- Organizational Skills: Attention to detail is crucial to ensure a room is staged exactly according to guest specifications.
- Time Management: The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, especially when flipping a room from one event to another
