Join a physician-led multi-specialty group comprising over 650 providers, dedicated to a collaborative approach in patient care. This vibrant and expanding practice operates within a robust two-hospital ICU and outpatient framework, catering to a wide range of complex and critically ill patients at the primary facility, a regional medical center in Boise, and a community medical center in Nampa, along with an outpatient pulmonary medicine clinic. The regional medical center stands as a leading provider of advanced and innovative critical care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care in a high-acuity ICU environment, managing the treatment of complex, critically ill inpatients.
  • Collaborate effectively with adult hospitalist services and various specialists.
  • Oversee a comprehensive outpatient clinic that addresses all facets of pulmonary medicine.
  • Participate in a rotating schedule that includes ICU days, nights, pulmonary consult services, and clinic duties, totaling 182 shifts annually. Note that ICU coverage is shift-based and not considered on-call.

The regional medical center in Boise features a 22-bed Medical/Surgical ICU, a 10-bed Cardiac ICU, and a 10-bed Cardiovascular/Thoracic ICU, offering services such as Trauma, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Interventional Cardiology, interventional stroke care, Oncology, and General Surgery. Pulmonary diagnostic services available include endobronchial ultrasound, bedside diagnostic ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and sleep diagnostics. The community medical center in Nampa has an 18-bed ICU, equipped to perform all standard ICU procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship.
  • Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
  • Eligibility for Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and privileges at the regional medical center in Boise, the community medical center in Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary.
  • Valid registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
