Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient Ratio: 2:1

Position Overview

Seeking a strong Cardiac ICU RN with experience in high-acuity cardiovascular patients and advanced cardiac devices.

This unit manages cardiac and medical ICU patients, along with occasional step-down overflow. Candidates must have solid experience in CVICU or a strong CCU/Cardiopulmonary ICU setting due to the complexity of patient conditions and devices.

Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU experience required, but must be cardiac-focused.

Required Clinical Experience

Experience managing patients with:

• LVAD

• Impella

• IABP

• Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker (TVP)

• Mechanical ventilation

• CRRT

• Invasive lines

• Hemodynamic monitoring

Additional required competencies:

• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias

• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath & Interventions

• Sheath removal

• Post-cardiac surgery patients (step-down from OR, not immediate fresh open heart)

Required Certifications

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIH Stroke Scale

• Dysrhythmia Interpretation
