Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to oversee front office operations across multiple clinic locations. This leadership role is responsible for managing patient access functions, supervising front office staff, improving operational workflows, and ensuring a positive patient experience from scheduling through check-out. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong healthcare operations experience who enjoys mentoring teams and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily operations of the front office, including reception, scheduling, patient registration, and check-in/check-out activities.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of patient service professionals while promoting accountability and excellent customer service.
- Oversee scheduling processes to maximize provider efficiency and improve patient access.
- Manage insurance verification, referral processing, eligibility review, and point-of-service collections.
- Address patient concerns and resolve service-related issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with providers and leadership to improve workflows and operational performance.
- Prepare employee schedules, monitor staffing coverage, and approve PTO requests.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and established front office procedures.
- Monitor key operational metrics and implement process improvements as needed.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance management for front office staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within a healthcare setting.
- Experience supervising teams of approximately 8-12 employees.
- Strong understanding of medical office operations, including scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, patient registration, and collections.
- Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard office technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience within a specialty physician practice such as dermatology, orthopedics, neurology, or women's health.
- Knowledge of front-end revenue cycle processes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
Additional Details:
- Onsite position located in Centennial, CO.
- Occasional travel to an additional clinic location (approximately 1-2 times per month).
