Description of Duties:

Responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks and providing support to other crew team members. The primary function of this position is to excavate and shape pool walls with a shovel, dig and cover trenches for plumbing, and assist skilled workers while installing pool plumbing, rebar, waterline tile, and coping around perimeter of pool.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Physical Tasks:

• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, digging, and moving materials.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment at shop and jobsites

2. Site Preparation and Cleanup:

• Prepare work areas by setting up barriers, removing debris, and organizing materials and tools.
• Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring they are free of hazards and cutter

3. Support Skilled Workers:

• Assist foreman by providing tools, materials, and labor support during tasks.
• Follow instructions and learn basic skills to aid in specific job requirements.

4. Equipment Operation:

• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervisor as directed by foreman.
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.

5. Safety Compliance:

• Follow safety regulations and guidelines to ensure safe work environment.
• Report any and all safety hazards, incidents, and injuries immediately to supervisor.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with team member and foreman.
• Collaborate with others to complete tasks efficiently and meet project goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Previous experience in general labor/construction.
2. Understanding basic skilled trades (plumbing, ironwork, tile, excavator) is a bonus.
3. Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods of time.
4. Basic understanding of safety and protocols on construction site.
5. Ability to follow instructions and be a team player.
6. Willingness to learn new skills/tasks.
7. Strong work ethic and reliability.
8. Ability to perform fieldwork and proficient use of a shovel to excavate.
9. Valid driver license.
