Position: Catering Coordinator - Full Time/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Catering Director

Job Summary:

The Catering Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of the catering department at the resort. This includes assisting the catering team with the day-to-day operations and ensuring that all events are executed to the highest standards.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Main point of contact for catering events as assigned by leadership
  • Provides clerical support including creating, updating, and closing banquet event orders (BEO)
  • Ensures that appropriate sales materials are always available, including specialty signage, drink tickets, menu cards
  • Attend walkthroughs and participate in planning calls for assigned events
  • Assist event clients with menu and service planning
  • Send out banquet event orders (BEO) - external and internally
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently
  • Provides assistance and supervision of catering department to ensure all catering services exceed guest expectations
  • Manages the distribution of all event information to key stakeholders
  • Fosters strong relationships with Client Team and CCC Operations Team at all times
  • Processes invoices on a timely basis
  • Promotes a positive work environment, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Communicates all event bookings regularly and efficiently
  • Enter consumption post-event and send final Event Order to the Catering Director prior to the client
  • Supervisory catering duties as assigned for events
  • Assisting with and/or scheduling event staff
  • Completes projects in a timely and professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills across a diverse population of employees, clients, partners, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot in a high stress, fast-paced, live production work environment
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid TEAM or TIP certification card and a valid County Food Handler Card on file with CCC
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms, and successfully pass a background check
  • Must be able to work with a group as well as independently
  • Preferred prior experience as catering sales, catering operations, and administrative knowledge
  • Preferred bartending experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, Triple Seat and/or other catering software preferred
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
