Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available to work with elementary students in grades K-4 within self-contained classrooms. This position is a contract role for the uping school year, offering a chance to make a positive impact in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Active LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) License in Illinois.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-4) preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, best practices, and instructional techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and municate clearly with families.
