Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist opportunity is available in La Vista, NE, offering a contracted position within an educational setting. This role focuses on supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and planning.
- Implement evidence-based practices to promote a positive school climate.
- Assist in crisis intervention and mental health support as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling in K-12 settings.
- Strong understanding of educational laws, special education processes, and mental health interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
