Nurse Practitioner – MinuteClinic (Float Position)
Location: Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas
Float Coverage Includes: Speedway, Downtown Indianapolis, Mooresville, Avon, Brownsburg, Greenwood, New Palestine, Greenfield
Schedule: 3–4 days per week | Every other weekend | Possible holiday rotation
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–7:00 PM (varies by clinic)
Position Summary
Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care to a panel of patients. The care team partners with the provider daily to drive positive health outcomes through accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, chronic condition management, and disposition planning. This role reports directly to the Practice Manager.
Key Responsibilities/Clinical Duties
- Provide evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform routine examinations and diagnostic testing to support patient care decisions
- Deliver health counseling, wellness education, and preventive care services
- Encourage patient engagement through health screenings, behavioral health services, wellness initiatives, and chronic condition management
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care plans
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Open and close clinic as scheduled
- Manage inventory and clinic supplies
- Verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate patient documentation
- Conduct patient follow-ups and appointment management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
Required Qualifications/Education & Licensure
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- Current National Board Certification
- Active State of Employment APRN license
- DEA registration required at time of offer acceptance
- Current BLS certification required
- Screenshot not required at submission, but active BLS must be provided upon offer acceptance
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family medicine or primary care preferred

- Capacity to collaborate frequently with interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Ability to work within a remote clinical care team culture
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure
