The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Allergy, and Immunology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member specializing in pediatric allergy/immunology. Candidates will be at the assistant professor level of the clinical educator track.

The Department of Pediatrics has an active pediatric allergy/immunology program treating a range of allergenic and immune system disorders and provides services including:

  • Immune globulin replacement therapy (IVIG and SCIG)

In addition, our Pediatric Allergy/Immunology program is the only Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiency in the state of Florida, providing state-of-the-art diagnostic, research, and therapeutic modalities for children and adolescents with primary immune deficiency including:

  • Infusion services for IGIV
  • Bone marrow transplantation services
  • Investigational therapies
  • Genetic testing

In addition to delivering excellent patient care, the faculty member will also be responsible for educating fellows, residents, and medical students.

The physician candidate will have a strong interest in clinical and/or translational research as the position requires development and participation in original research for which extramural funding should be sought. The allergy/immunology program is currently involved in research related to stem cell transplantation and works closely with UM’s growing Bone Marrow Transplant program.
