Job Type: Contract to hire Location: Norcross, GA
Pay rate: $16/hr
Shift: 2nd Position Overview The Packaging Technician plays a critical role in preparing electronic devices for customer delivery by ensuring each unit is inspected, tested, configured, cleaned, and packaged according to established quality standards. This role supports overall production efficiency by maintaining accurate documentation, identifying issues, and collaborating closely with team members and Project Leads. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with technology in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming devices for physical or shipping-related damage.
- Test device functionality and perform diagnostics as needed.
- Charge, replace, and verify battery units to ensure full device readiness.
- Load and configure software and network settings per customer specifications.
- Clean devices thoroughly to maintain appearance and quality standards.
- Repackage devices using approved materials and methods for safe transit.
- Accurately label devices and shipping containers to match project requirements.
- Document all work performed, including test results and configuration settings.
- Identify, log, and communicate issues or discrepancies to Project Leads and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in inventory tracking, including logging parts used and devices processed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE when required.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience with electronic devices or in a technical/repair role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of network configurations is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
