Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem clinical pharmacist position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized behavioral health environment focused on psychiatry and substance use disorder (SUD) services. The role provides critical pharmacy support at a newly established inpatient site with licensed beds launching soon. The position is ideal for pharmacists with acute inpatient behavioral health experience and a Colorado pharmacy license seeking a flexible schedule with meaningful clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently using HCS order entry system (experience preferred)
- Dispense medications to inpatient units and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Provide clinical decision support and collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient medication therapy
- Troubleshoot and support Pyxis ES automation system; training provided as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support including weekends, addressing critical out-of-stock medications and system issues
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Colorado pharmacy license required
- Experience in acute inpatient behavioral health pharmacy preferred
- Familiarity with HCS order entry system a plus
- Willingness to complete 3-5 days of onsite training prior to start (training dates April 22-27 and April 29-May 5)
- Ability to work independently in a site with currently limited staff
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- On-call duties after hours and on weekends
