About the Role
Total Aviation Staffing is seeking a VFR Pilot for a prominent air medical transport provider in Rushville, Indiana. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled and dedicated pilot eager to make a tangible impact in life-saving missions. You will be part of an elite team, providing critical care through safe and reliable aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a BH407 VFR/NVG helicopter under CAMTS guidelines.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks to ensure operational safety.
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM).
- Participate in community outreach programs to represent the company.
- Assist in loading and unloading patients and equipment when necessary.
- Support the Safety Management System (SMS) and initiatives such as Destination Zero.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to maintain seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Commercial Helicopter License with Instrument Rating.
- First Class Medical Certification.
- Flight Experience:
- 2,000 total flight hours (1,500 helicopter, 1,000 PIC helicopter, 500 turbine helicopter).
- 100 hours of unaided night operations or equivalent NVG experience.
- Preferred Experience:
- BH407 qualifications or similar aircraft.
- EMS or Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.
- Mountain flight experience (100 hours preferred).
- Other Requirements:
- Must meet a body weight limit of 235 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Successful completion of FAA physical, drug screening, and background checks.
- Must reside within a 1-hour commute or 60 miles from the base.
Compensation & Benefits
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $100,000.
- Location Bonus: 12.5%.
