ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide general customer service support to both internal and external customers
• Recommends policies and procedures governing operations and make
suggestions for service enhancements
• Performs circulation functions, check books, materials, and equipment in and
out, inspect incoming materials for damage, mending, and provide notification
and follow-up on overdue books, materials, and equipment
• Maintains a neat and orderly working environment
• Maintains records and prepares reports regarding circulation, lost material,
and equipment
• May catalog books and other appropriate materials as directed
• Operates a variety of office machines
• Receives book and material shipments; checks/verifies against purchase orders
• Maintains accurate missing materials records.
• Attends meetings and workshops as assigned by immediate supervisor
• Assists with all purchase-order submissions with publishers and digital
curriculum subscriptions for students
• Unpacks and inspects incoming material and conformity to purchase
order specifications
• Assists with mail collection and disbursement
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor, with training and support, as time and work-flow conditions permit.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Experience in Windows, Excel, Word, Internet software, and local custom programs
