Job DescriptionResponsibilities: Manage the bid process for potential projects. Including attending pre-bid meetings & walk-throughs. Assemble the final bid proposal, based on estimate take-off to include labor, material, subcontractors and any other relevant project costs. Manage contract negotiation process. Including final scope review & confirmation. Serve as Slifco Electrics primary project contact for any issues regarding the project. Establish and manage client/customer relationships on each project. Attend internal and external project meetings. Communicate & coordinate with other trades, the General Contractor and client as needed to ensure a successful project outcome. Manage general project functions. Including submittals, subcontracts, purchase orders, contract amendments, document revisions, manpower material flow, etc. Responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining project schedules. Monitor, manage & forecast job costs so as to maximize project profitability. Responsible for notifying customer and/or general contractor for any delays or scope changes and following up on resolution of any potential cost impacts. Manage to project deadlines & milestones, assign team responsibilities, manage & summarize progress of projects. Oversee, support and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other stake holders involved with the projects. Manage and report out on project status (i.e. progress & financials). Communicate changes to project team members to ensure proper execution and escalation. Oversee project execution along with the General Foreman and/or Foreman. Work with the Slifco Electrics Superintendent to ensure proper staffing of the project. Work with Safety Director and Superintendent to ensure all company, state and OSHA safety regulations are being met. Job Specifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and general computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7 or more years of experience in electrical Project Management and Estimating. Experience with estimating software is required (i.e. Accu-Bid or McCormick). Capable of estimates in excess of $1 million. Capable of managing at least $3M-$4M in annual project volume. Design Build Experience preferred. Commercial, Institutional, Automotive and Heavy Industrial electrical experience required. Pre-employment drug testing required.
