Job Description
The Appliance Install Technician is responsible for delivering, installing, and testing residential and light‐commercial appliances with a high level of workmanship and customer service. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safe work practices, and the ability to troubleshoot basic installation issues on-site. The technician represents the company in customers’ homes and must maintain a professional, respectful demeanor at all times.
Key Responsibilities

Install a wide range of appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, washers, dryers, and specialty units

Perform site assessments to ensure proper fit, electrical/plumbing readiness, and safe installation conditions

Remove old appliances when required and prepare the area for new equipment

Connect water lines, drain hoses, venting, gas lines, and electrical hookups according to code and manufacturer specifications

Level, secure, and test appliances to ensure proper operation

Troubleshoot minor installation issues such as leaks, alignment problems, or electrical connection concerns

Communicate clearly with customers about installation details, operation basics, and any required follow‐up work

Document completed work, parts used, and any issues encountered

Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, safe working condition

Follow all safety protocols, including electrical safety, lifting techniques, and jobsite hazard awareness

Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and management to ensure efficient scheduling and workflow
Qualifications

Experience in appliance installation, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or related trades preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools

Ability to read installation manuals, spec sheets, and basic diagrams

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances safely (often 75–150 lbs)

Basic understanding of electrical (120/240V), plumbing, and ventilation systems

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site
Work Environment

Field-based role with daily travel to customer homes or job sites

Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions

Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and use of hand tools

Pay Rate
Pay for this position will depend on applicants qualifications. We are willing to train the right applicant. Performance incentives available based on production level. These incentives will begin after your probationary period. Length of probationary period is based on applicants qualifications.
