We are seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive inspections on parts ranging from ½ inch to 10 feet in size. The role involves utilizing various measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, with the added advantage of CMM experience. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings and notes, documenting inspection results using computer systems, and completing Non-Conformance Reports for rejected parts. This position is housed within a dedicated receiving inspection lab, offering a collaborative environment with a small team.

Hours: 8am-4:30pm M-F

Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming inspections on parts ranging from ½ inch to 10 feet in size.
  • Utilize measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers; experience with CMM is beneficial.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and notes accurately.
  • Document inspection results promptly using computer systems.
  • Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected parts, including details such as part number, reason for rejection, and photographs.
  • Collaborate with a small team of inspectors within a dedicated receiving inspection lab.
  • Utilize the NetSuite ERP system for managing parts; familiarity is advantageous.

Essential Skills

  • 2-4+ years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of GD&T features and operating knowledge of CMM.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise written non-conformance reports.
  • Experience with inspection tools, calipers, and various test equipment.
  • Capability to manage priorities and workflow efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, analysis, and evaluation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor equipment and mechanical inspection.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
