Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Insurance Product Analyst to join our Personal Auto Insurance team. This role plays a key part in supporting product development and multi-state expansion of our insurance programs. This position reports to the Director of Insurance Product Management.
The Insurance Product Analyst will own end-to-end rollouts for assigned states - ensuring regulatory compliance, managing project timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including the Director of Insurance Product and VP of Insurance Product.
This role requires strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and the ability to simplify complex concepts to guide strategic decisions. The Insurance Product Analyst will contribute to the development of pricing and product strategies, drive cross-functional initiatives, and deliver insights that shape the organization’s competitive position.
Essential Functions
• Fully own and execute on assigned states' end-to-end rollout of the latest personal auto insurance pricing programs.
• Gather and document product requirements, clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders, and ensure accurate implementation.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the insurance product and assigned states, provide thoughtful recommendations that influence state decisions and help drive corporate strategy.
• Build out key reporting to monitor the health of the business.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams and manage moderate to high complexity projects.
• Conduct complex analyses to drive and support business decisions; where necessary, conduct in depth research on competitor offerings and filings.
• Educate IT partners on business vision and plan, and both IT and business partners on the impact of changes.
• Independently manage project timelines, flag risks, and develop contingency plans, escalate blockers as appropriate.
• Regularly update leadership and stakeholders on project progress, addressing concerns and managing communication channels.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or another quantitative field.
• Minimum 2+ years’ relevant work experience in product management with a focus on auto insurance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SQL, PowerBI).
• Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Office Location
• Torrance, CA - Hybrid (Tuesday and Thursday in office)
• Remote option may be available for candidates outside the teleworking area.
Compensation
• For California based hires, the annual salary range is $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
• FLSA Job Status: Exempt.
