WANTED: Manual Machinist – Setup & Operation

Location: Brinkman Products, Inc./Rochester, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

1st & 2nd Shifts: Start Time Flexible

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00/hr.

Brinkman Products, Inc. is an industrial goods manufacturing company encompassing two lines of business; Davenport Machine and CJWinter. Both manufacture proprietary product lines which include Davenport multi-spindle screw machines, thread rolling attachments, thread rolls, and tooling. Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, and grinders (or similar).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with manual machining (mills, lathes, etc.).
• Strong ability to set up jobs independently.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience with prototype and small batch work preferred.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
