o 885 licensed beds
o Level 1 Trauma Designation
o Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
o Chest Pain Center
o Stroke Center
● Department Information:
o Census? Average patients/day? Main Tower 24/7 80-110, Cancer Center 60-80
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year of CT
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if CT experience
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adult and pediatric inpatient & outpatient: cardiac, procedures, stroke, aneurysm, bowel ischemia, pancreatitis, transplant, cirrhosis, kidney, metastatic evaluation, comprehensive cancer center, traumatic . ain injury, heart disease, fractures, pneumonia, thrombus, lymphoma, tumors and lesions, bleeds, tumors, peripheral vascular disease
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o BLS
o ARRT-CT
● Skills required:
o IV start
o Sliding/ceiling lift for patients
o Code stroke
o Arterial scans
o Routine scans
o Inpatients
o Pediatrics
o ICU/trauma patients
o Handling drains, lines, tubing
o Quick paced working with heavy volume of inpatient/outpatient
o Administering contrast material through peripheral IV’s and power ports/PICCS
o Radiation safety
o Teammate communication
o Running the desk, facilitating workflow, sending for patients, answering phone
o Cardiac experience preferred not required
o Siemen’s Alpha Photon Counting preferred but not required
o Procedure experience preferred not required
● Support within the Department:
o CT Supervisor
o 3rd shift will work independently
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department specific Equipment: Siemen’s Flash, Siemen’s Force, GE Apex Revolution, GE Lightspeed, GE Discovery, Siemen’s Alpha Photon Counting, Intellispace PACS
● Floating: If yes, where?
o Main Reynold’s Tower and Cancer Center
● Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 2 days departmental
o First 2 weeks training in department on required scanners
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: not currently, subject to change
o Call required: At least 2 call rotations per travel assignment or picking up vacancies
▪ Would fit into rotation – can be discussed during the final interview
o Holiday Expectations: At least 1 holiday during 1 travel assignment preferred
o RTO: Manager approval
o Schedule cycle: set schedule upon hire, could potentially change if extended based on department needs
