Job Title: Nurse Supervisor – Behavioral Health
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35 hours/week)
Compensation: $90.00 – $95.00 per hour
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical leadership within a Behavioral Health setting in Brooklyn, NY. This role is ideal for a strong nursing leader with proven experience in program development, staff oversight, and quality improvement initiatives. The Nurse Supervisor will collaborate closely with Nurse Managers to assess unit operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvements in patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Plan, develop, and implement initiatives focused on improving patient care outcomes and nursing staff performance.

Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments of nursing units in collaboration with Nurse Managers to ensure adherence to quality standards and policies.

Corrective Action & Improvement: Identify performance gaps and support the communication and implementation of corrective action plans.

Compliance & Safety: Establish and maintain accurate records related to medication variances, incident reporting, and staff counseling, in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Operational Oversight: Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered behavioral health care.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of nursing experience, including at least five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Specialty Experience: Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is required.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).

Licensure: Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.

Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Verification: Ability to provide Primary Source Verification of RN licensure and registration through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
