Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a 5th-grade elementary classroom in Cleveland, OH. This full-time contract position spans from late February through the end of May, with the possibility of renewal for the next school year based on performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with two co-teachers to deliver instruction in a co-teaching environment.
- Providing targeted support by pulling students for specialized instruction focused on IEP service minutes.
- Implementing Wilson Reading program strategies to enhance literacy skills.
- Managing and supporting a caseload of 18 students with diverse learning needs.
- Participating actively in classroom planning, assessment, and student progress monitoring.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Certification and experience in Special Education, preferably working with elementary-aged students.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-teaching setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP pliance and educational best practices.
- Familiarity with evidence-based reading programs such as Wilson Reading.
- Excellent munication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students.
