Swiss CNC Machinist – Medical Device Manufacturing
Position Summary
The Swiss CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of precision components and devices for the medical device industry. This role is responsible for producing high-quality parts while maintaining strict tolerance and quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Shifts Available
1st Shift:
Monday – Thursday: 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Sign-On Bonus
$1,000 – $5,000 depending on level of experience
Responsibilities
Swiss CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Swiss CNC machines to produce precision components
- Perform quality inspections on completed parts
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance
- Complete tool changes and maintain tooling as required
- Maintain production standards while ensuring compliance with quality requirements
Qualifications
Swiss CNC Machinist Position Requirements
- Experience operating Swiss CNC machines
- Strong math background, preferably including machine math or shop math
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using a microscope for inspection
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pressure micrometers
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience machining medical components, devices, or instruments
- Experience working with tight tolerances
- Programming experience with Swiss CNC machines
- Experience performing machine setup
- Experience troubleshooting Swiss CNC machines
