Take your skills as a dedicated paraprofessional to the next level with a rewarding opportunity supporting a student in a life skills program. This contract position centers on one-on-one academic and personal support, working weekdays from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m. through June 2026. You'll be instrumental in helping this student thrive—both academically and with daily living activities. Candidates with paraprofessional certification, LNA, or CNA experience are welcome to apply.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, PCA, LNA, or CNA, ideally within a school or life skills program
- Ability to provide compassionate, individualized assistance to students with special needs
- Confidence in helping with toileting plans and student positioning as needed
- Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach with teachers and therapists
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent academic support in a 1:1 setting, adapting lessons under faculty guidance
- Assist the student with their toileting and positioning plan, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Encourage participation in classroom activities and foster engagement with peers
- Act as a supportive member of the classroom team, reporting progress and concerns to relevant staff
- Ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
