Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver precise radiation therapy to patients at a leading cancer institute, utilizing advanced Varian treatment systems, including Truebeam, Trilogy, IBA Proton, and Aria EMR. This contract opportunity spans 5 days of 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, based at a state-of-the-art facility renowned for prehensive cancer care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols using Varian equipment.
  • Collaborate with oncology teams to ensure patient safety and optimal therapeutic outes.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records within the Aria EMR system.
  • Participate in department-specific orientation and ongoing training, including EPIC and institutional protocols.
  • Adapt to variable weekend schedules when required, particularly if proton machine downtime necessitates weekend treatments.
  • Adhere to clinical dress code standards, wearing gray scrubs as specified.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Virginia State RT(T) license required at time of application submission.
  • Minimum of two years hands-on experience with Varian Truebeam, Trilogy, IBA Proton systems, and Aria EMR.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) credentialed by the American Heart Association mandatory.
  • Proven ability to work in a patient-focused environment with a treatment room ratio of 2 radiation therapists per patient.
