RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts)
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days and 1:5-6 for nights, 1:5 on weekends
\n• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift)
\n• Float within scope to meet facility needs as needed
\n• Work with medical/surgical/oncology patient population including adults only
\n• Daily census of 19 patients in a 28-room unit with two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Fire safety
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Required skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of chemotherapy, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Monitoring Chemotherapy, MS/Tele, PCA, Starting and maintaining IVs, Telemetry Oncology, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• 38 hours of orientation provided
\n• Interdisciplinary support includes unit secretary
\n• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
\n• Pending licenses accepted
