Globally recognized leader in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is looking to hire a Warehouse Inventory & Shipping Clerk on a contract basis. The Warehouse Inventory & Shipping Clerk is a cross functional role responsible for inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping of finished goods. This position ensures accurate inventory levels, compliant handling of materials, and timely shipment of customer orders across freezer, refrigerated, and ambient storage environments, in accordance with company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The Warehouse Inventory & Shipping Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Inventory Control
- Receive released finished goods into warehouse and shipping locations by verifying quantities and accuracy.
- Stock materials into designated picking locations using handheld scanners or inventory systems.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory evaluations to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Stage, label, and monitor quarantined or custom goods per supervisor direction.
- Maintain organized, clearly labeled storage locations across all temperature zones.
Order Picking & Packing
- Pick finished goods from freezer, refrigerate, and ambient storage locations based on master or customer specific pack lists.
- Verify item numbers, lot numbers, quantities, sizes, and specifications during picking and packing.
- Review pack lists and shipping documentation to ensure all customer and regulatory requirements are met.
- Package orders securely and accurately to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
Shipping Operations
- Apply shipping labels correctly to cartons and pallets in accordance with storage, handling, and DOT requirements.
- Process small package shipments using carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS.
- Load and unload shipments; assist with outbound and inbound freight as needed.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and freight carriers to support on time shipment execution.
General Warehouse Support
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required (certification or training provided).
- Assist Receiving and other warehouse functions as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety policies, GMP requirements, and cold chain handling procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by warehouse leadership.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or shipping environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Regular lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in freezer, refrigerated, and room temperature environments for extended periods.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including freezer gear and safety shoes.
- Exposure to moving machinery, moderate to loud noise, and warehouse equipment.
