Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
\n• Schedule typically includes Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
\n• PACU position with potential to work pre-op as needed
\n• 1 year of experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
\n• Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date
\n• 2:1 patient ratio during day shifts
\n• 48 hours of orientation provided
\n• Care for patients of all ages: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
\n• Handle post-operative care for various procedures including ophthalmology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and ENT
\n• Perform IV insertion and conscious sedation monitoring
\n• Work with cataract extraction/implant, cholecystectomy, nerve blocks, and total joint procedures
\n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
\n• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per workweek for 3 x 12-hour shifts
\n• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
\n• Daily census of 35 patients with 5 visits per day in 6 operating rooms
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• 18 months experience required with 2 supervisor references

The facility features 6 operating rooms with modern equipment and provides comprehensive perioperative care including pre-operative preparation and post-anesthesia care unit services. The center handles a variety of surgical specialties including ophthalmology, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures, maintaining high standards for patient safety and care quality.
