Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in a busy retail pharmacy setting located in White Rock, NM. This role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, providing a pathway to long-term employment while gaining valuable experience in a high-volume environment. Location: White Rock, NM (Retail Pharmacy in nearby Los Alamos area)
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM (Rotating weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
- Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding required)
- Manage workflow in a busy pharmacy processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily
- Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy system efficiently
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License
- Experience with non-sterile compounding is an advantage
- Background working in a high-volume pharmacy setting preferred
- Open to recent graduates eager to develop their pharmacy practice
