Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This travel position is seeking a Special Education Teacher for high school students in grades 9-12, located in North Grosvenordale, CT. The role involves working with a mild to moderate population in inclusion and resource settings, providing support and instruction tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) in grades 9-12.
- Support students with mild to moderate disabilities in both inclusion and resource room environments.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Special Education for grades 9-12.
- Experience working with mild to moderate special education student populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage and organize caseload effectively.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
Schedule and Duration:
- Hours: 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM
- Assignment Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment End Date: June 11
