Instructional Aide substitutes are urgently needed to provide vital classroom support and make a meaningful difference in local schools. As an on-call paraprofessional, you'll play a key role in supporting students one-on-one and in small groups to promote their academic and personal success.
Responsibilities include:
- Offering 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social assistance as directed by teaching staff
- Helping students participate in daily routines, classroom transitions, and engaging activities
- Implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs where applicable
- Providing supervision, mobility support, and, when needed, assisting with personal care
- Maintaining an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom environment
Minimum requirements to start:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- TB test in accordance with school regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current or willing to obtain required clearances
Preferred experience:
- Work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is valued but not required
- Strong reliability, patience, flexibility, and teamwork skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
