Job Title: Operations Team Member
Job Description
Join a dedicated team in a clean, climate-controlled environment, specializing in the processing and storage of steel. This role involves operating and maintaining aluminum and steel processing equipment, as well as performing various warehousing functions to meet the plant's safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aluminum and steel processing equipment.
- Perform warehousing functions in a manufacturing setting.
- Achieve plant safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Adhere to standardized work instructions for each process.
- Use various mechanical and mobile equipment as required.
- Conduct visual inspections of materials.
- Set up mechanical equipment according to specifications.
- Package and unpack steel and aluminum coils.
- Utilize measuring instruments to verify product compliance.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Pursue skill enhancement through ongoing training.
- Capable of training and developing other employees.
- Occasionally move or lift up to 30 pounds.
- Kneel, crouch, squat, or stoop as needed.
- Work within a production and warehouse environment with moving mechanical equipment.
- Use mandatory safety equipment, including hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, and cut-resistant gloves.
Essential Skills
- Experience in warehouse, packaging, and material handling.
- Proficiency with scan guns and scanning.
- Forklift operation and inventory management.
- Experience with metal and aluminum processing.

- Positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Capable of working independently and exercising initiative.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic math and computer skills for data entry.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to use hands and fingers to handle objects and controls.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse with a temperature of roughly 70 degrees year-round. The environment includes moving mechanical parts with a moderate noise level. Proper safety equipment is required. Shifts include a 2nd shift starting at 6 PM CST for 8+ hours with mandatory weekend work, and a 1st shift. Flexibility to cover other shifts if needed is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of PRINCETON, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr.
