Job DescriptionDiversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for a qualified CNC Lathe Operator to join one of our clients in North Houston. As the CNC Lathe Operator you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement tools, along with the ability to maintain quality and safety standards in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with Fanuc controls
- Ability to perform basic mill setups
- Understanding of Fanuc G & M code functions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric symbols, and tolerances
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Working knowledge of algebra and basic math functions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of machinist experience or related technical schooling preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines for various machining processes including drilling, milling, grinding, and deburring
- Interpret engineering drawings and convert specifications into machining dimensions
- Monitor CNC machines during operation and make adjustments to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure machines operate safely and in compliance with company standards
- Perform daily machine checks and routine maintenance to ensure functionality
- Maintain accurate production and quality logs
- Communicate any machining or logistics issues that arise during production
- Verify that finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
- Conduct regular assessments of CNC equipment and report any concerns
- Assist with additional shop or warehouse tasks as needed to support the team

COMPENSATION: $20
