Job Title: Physical Therapist

Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist will deliver high-quality physical therapy services with minimal supervision to patients, caregivers, and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, supervising support staff, contributing to case management, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and facility staff.
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to state-specific Practice Acts and supervision regulations
- Follow clinical operations policies and procedures
- Complete Medicare and OSHA compliance training annually
- Evaluate and treat patients with medically necessary physical therapy
- Maintain clear documentation of goals, progress, and medical necessity
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate respectfully with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
- Participate in facility meetings as directed
- Maintain CPR certification and complete continuing education as required
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards
- Present or participate in clinical in-services
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare and physical therapy practices
- Contribute to center operations as assigned
- Perform other duties or special projects as needed
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Team collaboration and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise assistants and aides effectively
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Clinical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and reporting software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper techniques
- Frequent walking, bending, standing, and reaching
- Visual acuity for patient evaluation and documentation
- Clear speech and hearing for communication
- Ability to push equipment and perform fine motor tasks
Required Credentials:
- Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program or equivalent (for internationally educated therapists)
- State licensure/registration as applicable
- Current CPR certification meeting state requirements
