CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Butler, NJ
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and help keep our production equipment running at peak performance.
Job Summary:
The CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment, including CNC and general production machinery. This role requires troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, and maintaining inventory of repair parts.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot CNC and production machinery

Perform routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance

Schedule and document machine cleaning and maintenance activities

Coordinate with outside repair vendors when needed

Maintain inventory of repair parts and ensure proper machine oil levels

Read and interpret engineering drawings for repairs

Utilize metrology equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and optical comparators

Suggest process improvements and equipment upgrades
-
Promote and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience with CNC turning centers (Fanuc Controllers preferred)

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and maintenance procedures

Ability to read engineering drawings and use metrology tools accurately

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
-
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints
