Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every other or every third weekend required; float required as needed
Highlights:
- High-volume Emergency Department with approximately 210 visits per day and 86 rooms
- Manageable 1:3.5 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
- EPIC EMR system with Pyxis medication management
- Level I Trauma, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility experience preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and interpretation services
- 36 hours of orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted
Requirements:
- Active Ohio RN license or valid compact license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
- Proficiency in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma care, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care
- Experience with arterial line management, central line care, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation/paralytics preferred
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; charge nurse acceptable for second reference
