Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Santa Rosa, California / Orange, California
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days
Schedule: 5x8 or 3x12 Shifts Available

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and effective procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and timely within the medical record.
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative experience.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced surgical environments.
