Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist to provide specialized imaging services at a hospital near Sacramento. This contract position requires a skilled professional with strong experience in CT imaging and X-ray procedures to support patient diagnostics on a 10-hour night shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans utilizing Siemens Edge 128 and Siemens Definition 128 equipment
- Conduct X-ray imaging with Carestream systems, including portable units
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to radiation safety protocols, including correct use of fluoroscopy
- Maintain accurate imaging records and assist radiologists with image acquisition
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support diagnostic processes
- Comply with facility policies and the highest standards of patient care
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
- Current and active certifications: BLS, ARRT Radiography (R), ARRT CT, California Fluoroscopy permit, and California Radiologic Technologist license
- Demonstrated proficiency with Siemens CT scanners preferred; training available if needed
- Ability to work 10-hour night shifts starting at 4:30 PM or 8:30 PM, every other week (EOW), with no call responsibilities
- Two supervisory references from modality leadership required (one within 12 months and one within 3 years)
- Candidates should not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit-associated facilities in the last year, though PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable
